Looking at the pictures we thought the hotel would be lovely but we ended up with the smallest room painted in a cold blue. There was not enough room to even put a suitcase on the floor! Luckily there was a wardrobe where we managed to fit all our belongings. The bed was so hard it was like sleeping on concrete with a thin pad over the top. The shower was so tiny it was hard to manoeuvre in it. There was building work going on in the hotel which was rather noisy and we had a burning smell on the last few days in the room. There were no coffee making facilities in the room. The TV (we didn't use it) was sitting on the tiny dressing table taking up all surface space even though there was a wall bracket right above it. The rooms are not remotely sound proof. The good points are the staff were friendly. The location good. The room was clean.

We only stayed one night so it wasn’t the end of the world, but this was not a pleasant stay and we were glad to check out very early the next day. Small room, outdated, gross bathroom, and the room looked a lot different compared to what we were shown when booking. All in all, if you have to stay here, just dump your bags and see the city.

On arrival to hotel terminal for a 3 night city break we tried to check in early as we had an early flight arrival, arriving at 9am the hotel room was not ready, not a problem we dropped bags and ventured into the city. On trying to check in I noticed the receptionist had a list of arrivals with corresponding room numbers, ours was circled in red biro. I did think this was strange.... Spent the whole day sight seeing didn't get back till 9.15pm to check in. We were given room number 601. On seeing the room it's smaller than the pictures appear on the website the shower was so close to the toilet you would potentially step over toilet to access shower. However we unpacked our bag, planned to get our heads down as we've been up since 3am UK time. My partner used the toilet and I used a while later on leaving the bathroom I smelt a burning smell, I said to my partner can you smell burning he said no, a few minutes later I went to put my wash bag in the bathroom as I entered there was water all by the toilet with lumps of rust floating all this had come out of an access panel in the floor and made its way across the bathroom floor. I went straight down to reception to tell them to be told they will call someone and to go back to the room. I waited 20 minutes with no response from the guy on reception and the smell was intense. I went back down this time with my partner and asked for a room change he said they were fully booked and could not change they said could I put up with it for 1 night... I said are you going to clean it... then he miraculously found us another room he said It would be smaller I said long as the room is functional it will be OK, so he took us to see the room before we packed up this was now on the 2nd floor. This room was smaller had a dirty shower cubicle/curtain, hairs in the room, floor could do with a good mop apart from that it was just ok. Upon check out I asked for some compensation for the downgrade of room for the inconvenience- we got nothing they claim not to understand you at this point. Paid the city tax let's get out then I see they have a chain wrapped around the main door with a padlock on ( well let's hope there never is a fire) Avoid this hotel unless you are desperate!!!!

Avoid This Dump Under Any And All Circumstances

Avoid this property under any circumstance. Pictures of this property on any site misrepresent the truth. It is a dump. Breakfast was included with the room rate we paid before arrival. Upon arrival there was no breakfast because of "construction." Construction which did not prevent the hotel from pocketing our payment for breakfast. The room had missing hardware, no hangers in the closet, a dilapidated bathroom, torn and inoperable window coverings, a mattress with age and lumps and broken furniture years past prime and horribly scratched flooring. We have lodged at hundreds of hotels over the years and many others in the Termini neighborhood which were already booked. In short, this property was the worst of all. Avoid at all cost. There is nothing good about this place . . . ethical and actual.

Got sidetracked by the nice pictures, regret not looking at the reviews. Waited two hours to get my room while other people realised their room never got booked. Staff was not friendly neither available, apart from the cleaners, who were very lovely. Rooms are definitely not like the pictures, old and not very clean. I understand this is a place which always gets fully booked for its proximity to the train station, but there is no excuse for providing a service like this. I often visit Rome for work, yet never had such a bad experience on a business trip, will not be back, sorry!
